Who is K'sante?

K'sante is a playable champion in the multiplayer online battle arena video game League of Legends, developed by Riot Games. His release date is on 2 November 2022. His intended in-game role is to be a tank and fighter with a high difficulty level, wielding his signature pair of ntofos. Abilities include 'Dauntless Instinct', 'Ntofo Strikes', 'Path Maker', and 'Footwork'.

He had been training to become a wrrior-hunter in order to protect his home, Nazumah, from colossal beasts and ruthless Ascended pretty much his whole life. During his earlier hunting days, he worked with, then eventually fell in love with the archer from Marrowmark, Tope. The relationship sadly fell apart when the two were torn on how to defeat the Cobra-Lion, K'sante refusing to listen to Tope's advice and even considering him something holding him back.

In the end, after finally accepting he can't defeat the Cobra Lion on his own, he turned to Tope for help. Tope had left for Marrowmark by then to further pursue his studies, but still assisted him in the form of a research journal he left behind with his aunt. In the end, he managed to defeat the Cobra-Lion thanks to Tope's strategies and make peace with himself.

Years later, him and Tope crosses path yet again in "Everything We Should Have Said" (penned by Michael Luo). The two were able to reconcile with K'sante apologizing to Tope for his past treatment and errors. Even though K'sante was thrown off by Tope's incoming wedding, the two were still able to joke, have a toast for everyone's good future and remained on good terms since then.

Why do I Love Him?

He's a guy. It sounds like an insult but I mean it in a good way. He's not some feverently worshipped demi-god, but a guy who strived to protect his people and worked hard to achieve so. He's clearly not perfect, he made mistakes and had actual consequences, mainly losing his lover. Another refreshing aspect about his story is how his lover not only stayed alive, but also stayed on positive terms with him.

I don't remember what exactly drawn me to him. I stumbled on a Paranoia music lyric video sometime in the later months of 2024. I was hooked on how people described him in the comments (and felt he didn't get enough love), which lead to me researching more information about him then it all was history. I love his sunny personality, his confidence, but also knowing when he did wrong and wanting to actually improve himself. The motivation wasn't some dramatic story arc, he simply wanted to apologize what he did to Tope. In-game, he jokes, taunts, laughs heartily and have moments which makes me smile so much.

Through times when things became painful and rough, he was there to help me back up in his own ways, especially for a good portion of 2025. In his story, he inspires others to be a good leader and warrior like him, to never give into despair. He may not be able to be present physically, but pretty much would always be enough to make me smile again after times of tears and bitterness. Because of him, I was able to meet amazing new people shortly after a particularly rough patch in 2024 which left me quite isolated.

Times would still be rough and likely remain as such, if not worsen. But he'll always be here while most come and go. He gives me a unique form of warmth, and I love him so much, my sweet, handsome lion man.

Headcanons!!

He's autistic and ADHD haver in my heart, and very much not immune to occassional meltdowns that he feels really ashamed about. When he's around people who he trusts deeply, he's unrestrained with the way he stims and infodumps.

Other than that:

• I associate him with sunflowers and the King Protea.
• He's not the best cook but could still make simple dishes well.
• He's quite physical with affection, gives some of the nicest hugs.
• His laughter is very infectious!!
• His special interest is mainly animals and the types change every week.
• He comes off as someone brimming with confidence, but has a surprisingly shy/timid side that he only shows with his loved ones (and reluctant to let anyone see).
• Despite being fine with eating meat, he tries to stick to a vegetarian diet.
• Has a huge soft spot for animals, but loves cats and dogs the most (can't choose between them whenever he's asked.

Fun Trivia!!

• His ntofos used slabs of armour from the defeated Cobra-Lion, which are what gave his weapons their regenarative properties.
• The lion engravings on his ntofos are from Tope's journal, carved to represent the Cobra-Lion and in honour of Tope.
• Palm wine is his favourite drink from home.
• His MBTI is ENFJ.
• In Heartsteel, he's represented by a yellow heart!
• It's confirmed in Heartsteel his star sign is Leo.
• Concerning above point, K'sante is often associated with lion imagery in some way, including in the Paranoia music video.
• His canon age ranges from 25 to 35 years old (I personally see him being 30).
• This was his bag in Heartsteel. Seems like he's an artist, or at least draws and wears glasses for eyesight.

• He takes his protein dry (as powder).
• Other than being the co-leader with Sett, he's also in charge of the group's costume, provided vocals.
• His hobbies are Fashion Accessory/Prop design and fitness.
• Before Heartsteel, he was a well-known music video director and was considered hard to work with.
• His height is 200cm.
• He's the first champion to be confirmed gay upon release.
• His nicknames include 'The Hunter' and 'Young Defender'.
• Judging from concept art, he belongs in the upper class of Nazumah's society.
• His parents, one mom and a dad (from in-game dialogue) are considered important societal figures.

Shipping, OC x Canon:

To summarize, I ship him with many male characters, I enjoy exploring potential possibilities. The main one at the moment is SettSante. I also have an OC I ship him with named Quill (ship name QuillSante). They have a chaotic yet loving relationship, to say the least.
